The Balearic Islands have been attracting tourists to the coastal regions of Spain for decades now, and the region has over the years become one of the top tourist party locales in Europe. The small island of Ibiza has made headlines throughout the years as the place to see and be seen on the clubbing circuit but there is a number of day activities to keep visitors active and enjoying life on this fantastic holiday island.
If you are traveling with a large group of people and looking to get the most out of the sun and sea then you may want to consider chartering a yacht. Yacht charters come with experienced crew as well as food and drinks stocked to your liking. The yachts are available for day rentals docked close to shore for a one-day water adventure, though you may also choose to rent for several days or more and experience the beauty of the Mediterranean Sea around of Ibiza. Ibiza is the largest island in the Balearics and as such has become the home to many all sorts of great and fun tourist sights.
You can choose from a number of yacht options including older vessels which have been well maintained throughout the years. You can also choose from brand new models with fast motor engines for a bit more oomph. You can pick from staff-ready boats through to self-run types, though a vacation yacht cruise is much more fun without the worry of navigation and having to be aware of local water laws.
For a more hands-on boating experience, you may want to consider chartering a sailboat. These options are available for both experienced and novice sailors. You can choose to man the boat yourself with the help of friends or hire an experienced crew so that you and your friends can simply sit back and enjoy. It is also possible to arrange a training session on your sailing charter so that you and your travel mates can learn how to explore the beautiful blue seas all on your own.
Chartering a boat not only means that you can have your own private party locations, but that you can explore the sea in more depth than you would do from the beach and on your own time. Scuba diving in the Mediterranean Sea is particularly popular as is snorkeling. For other boating options you might want to consider chartering a catamaran or even a speedboat.
A speedboat is a good option for those wishing to visit some of the other islands in the vicinity or for getting to a choice diving locations rather quickly. A speedboat can be used for diving purposes though it should only be used for small groups. A catamaran is much more useful for a larger diving expedition with many people aboard. You may even find that people you meet in bars and some Ibiza hotels might want to join you on your boating journey as well as help contribute to the pricey expense.
If you are not sure about chartering an entire boat to yourself, you can choose to go on a day excursion that will pre-arrange a boat for you. Some excursions include trips to nearby islands as well as some diving and snorkeling trips. If you enjoy a party atmosphere and would like to meet new people then you can sign up to enjoy a non-specific day out on a large yacht or catamaran for some swimming and mingling. Some places to contact for diving trips include the Sea Horse Scuba Diving Centre and Ibiza Watersports, both located on the west side of the island not far from one another. Scuba Diving College Centre is located on the other side.
